appointment of a woman as a second

English Inspector.

In view of the importance of

China to Hong Kong as a field of em-

ployment for Chinese who have been

educated in the Colony, the Committee

recognized the importance of maintaining

cordial relations between the Universities

in Hong Kong and South China.
